Nature park Zillertal Alps

The nature park Zillertaler Alps has been declared “Austria’s nature park of the year 2015” by an independent jury of the Austrian association of nature parks.

The nature park Zillertal Alps extends over 379 square kilometres from the village of Ginzling at 1.000 metres to 3.509 metres and encompasses the communities of Brandberg, Mayrhofen, Finkenberg and Tux as well as local community of Ginzling. Together with other nature reserves in Northern, Southern and Eastern Tirol, the nature park Zillertal Alps constitutes the largest group of nature reserves in the Alps with an impressive area of 2.507 square metres.
